• Sharbatly builds largest refrigeration warehouse at KAEC

    King Abdullah Economic City and Mohammed Abdullah Sharbatly Co. Ltd have signed a contract for the purchase of 160,000 sq.m in KAEC Industrial Valley. Shartbatly plans to build a new headquarters on the site, which will be a distribution hub for imported fruits and vegetables.

    The Ministry of Municipal And Rural Affairs recently awarded contracts worth about SR1 billion for the implementation of storm water disposal projects in Riyadh. The first contract worth SR459.4 million has been awarded to the Al-Jazira Peninsula Contracting Co. which will implement projects in eight districts.
  • Shale Gas: Companies bid for study

    Saudi Aramco is in the process of evaluating the bids received from engineering consultancy companies for a long-term contract aimed at conducting further studies of shale gas formations across the Kingdom. The studies will be spread across several geographical locations including, Empty Quarter (Rub Al Khali), South Ghawar in the Eastern Province, Jalamid in the northern desert region etc.
  • SR1.6b Titanium Sponge Plant in Yanbu

    The National Industrialization Company (Tasnee) and The National Titanium Dioxide Company Ltd. (Cristal) recently announced that they signed an agreement to establish a joint venture company with Toho Titanium Company Ltd. (Toho). Through SIDF/local funding the new company will invest a total of SR1575 million ($420m), including startup expenses, to construct a 15,600 metric ton per year titanium sponge production facility in Yanbu Industrial City.
  • DSI awarded SR328m MEP contract for King Saud University

    Drake & Scull International PJSC (DSI) has been awarded SR328 million contract to execute complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works at King Saud University in Riyadh. Under the terms of the agreement, DSI KSA will design, install, test and commission complete electro-mechanical works for three buildings at the university’s Endowment Projects. The company also stated that work on the project will be completed by 2015.
  • SR762m contract to build three berths in Ras Al Khair

    Saudi Ports Authority has awarded China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) a contract for dredging and construction of three berths at the Ras Al-Khair Industrial City port. The contract value is SR762.1 million.
